Honey Roasted Pecans

by Vilma
(North Carolina)

I have learned this recipe from one of the cooking shows long time ago and had been using it ever since. I love pecans, and this recipe transforms them into delicious and healthy snack. It takes only few minutes to pepare and can be stored for months.

Ingredients:

1 container of raw pecans (about 12oz)
1 tablespoon of honey
2 tablespoon of vegetable oil

Preparation:

Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a medium frying pan until hot. Add pecans and stir until they are covered with hot oil (about 2 minutes). Add room temperature honey and stir until honey melts covering the nuts.

Take one large baking sheet, sprinkle it with the remaining oil and transfer the nuts into the sheet. Spread them evenly and bake for 5 - 6 minutes at 375 F or until they darken a little.

Take the pan out of the oven and set aside to cool. Remove the nuts from the baking pan with a spatula and store in a cool place.
