Easy 12 Day Cleanse and Detoxification Diet Plan

This fast 12 day diet came from one of my readers who swears by it. She has tried many different weight loss and detoxification diet plans over the years and this is the only one that gave her good long-term results.

You may lose over 10 pounds in just two weeks which is a little too much according to healthy weight loss guidelines. However some nutritionists claim that a good cleansing diet once or twice a year is essential for a healthy well-being.

And this 12 day detoxification diet will do the job of detoxifying your body and getting you in good shape.

The best time of the year to do this 12 day detoxification diet is spring. The time when our system needs a little boost and rejuvenation.

12 Day Diet Guidelines:

  • Do not eat 3-4 hours before sleep.
  • Use olive oil or any other good quality oil such as flax seed oil or sesame oil.
  • After 12 days have a light menu for another 3-5 days.
  • Drink lots of water and herbal or green tea.

12 Day Detoxification and Weight Loss Diet Menu

DAY 1 – Dairy

  • 5 cups of plain yogurt,
  • buttermilk, or kefir.
  • 1 tablespoon of oil.
  • Herbal tea.

DAY 2 – Fruits

  • 4-6 oranges.
  • 1 tablespoon of oil.
  • Herbal tea.

DAY 3 – Cottage Cheese

  • 24 oz or 1.5 pound of plain 
  • cottage cheese.
  • 1 tablespoon of oil.
  • Herbal tea.

DAY 4 – Vegetables

  • 5 cups of vegetables ragout.
  • 2 tablespoons of oil.
  • Herbal tea.

DAY 5 – Chocolate

  • 1 Dark chocolate bar.
  • Herbal tea.

DAY 6 – Apples

  • 2-3 pounds of apple without skin.
  • 1 tablespoon of oil.
  • Herbal tea.

DAY 7 – Cheese

  • 10 – 12 oz of hard cheese.
  • Herbal tea.

DAY 8 – Vegetables

  • 4 cups of fresh vegetable juice.
  • Vegetable salad.
  • 1 tablespoon of oil.
  • Herbal tea.

DAY 9 – Meat

  • 15 oz of broiled beef.
  • 1 tablespoon of oil.
  • Herbal tea.

DAY 10 – Vegetables

  • Large fresh vegetable salad.
  • 1 tablespoon of oil.
  • Herbal tea.

DAY 11 – Cottage Cheese

  • 24 oz or 1.5 pound of plain

DAY 12 – Fruits

  • 2 pounds of plums or apricots.
  • 1 tablespoon of oil.
  • Herbal tea.
